Matt, Kristen, Riley, & Kate

Hello All!
I can't remember where we left off, but here goes! Life is moving in the fast lane at the Hudacks. It was a busy fall with soccer, The Nutcracker Recital, piano, lacrosse, school and the holidays. Over the Christmas break we took the train down to San Diego and toured the USS Midway ( a fantastic retired aircraft carrier), and Seaport Village. We were also able to get away for a weekend to Lake Arrowhead for some sledding with friends. The past few months have been filled with school, piano, guitar, ballet and lots of lacrosse. We had a nice visit from Joe, Dawn, Joey and Amy in the Spring. It was nice to visit and catch up! Riley is finishing up 8th grade and will be a full fledged High Schooler in the fall. Kate is finishing up 5th grade and will be moving onto middle school next year. They are both doing well and enjoying all their activities, even school.
Over Spring Break Riley and 90 other 8th graders from Hewes descended on Washington DC. They spent 5 days touring our nation's capital, Arlington, Virginia and Mount Vernon.
We headed back to Boston this past Memorial weekend for the college lacrosse championships. We had so much fun last year we had to go back to feed our lacrosse fever that has taken over our family. Throw in great lacrosse, great food in the North End, a Boston Red Sox game, a museum trip, a quick visit with friends, Dunkin Donuts coffee and you almost couldn't get us back on the plane!
Matt and I are also doing well. I have been busy with school PTO, tennis and being taxi mom. Matt has seen a little slow down at work but, for the most part is still busy. We are looking forward to summer. To celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary, Riley's graduation from 8th grade and Kate's graduation from 5th grade we are headed across the pond to Europe for 10 days. We will be touring London and Paris. Riley hopefully will be able to practice his french! When we return Riley will be working out with the freshman football team and playing lacrosse as it allows. Kate will be swimming and playing tennis. Then in early August we are off to Whidbey to catch our breath before the next school year starts.
We hope this letter finds everyone happy and healthy! Thank you to Melodee for continuing on the tradition of the Sentinel!
Kristen, Matt, Riley and Kate
